Gil Blutrich, President

Gil BlutrichThe founder and visionary of Skyline. In 1998 Mr. Blutrich brought his family to Toronto and founded Skyline. Mr. Blutrich’s main objective in founding Skyline was to pursue lucrative real estate developments in Canada. Throughout its 12 years of growth, Skyline has continued to generate strong returns and continues to be a leader in its industry. Mr. Blutrich’s vision, inspiration and unique real estate approach are a key for Skyline success, reputation and growth.


Michael Sneyd, CEO

Michael SneydMr. Sneyd has 28 years of experience in resort, master-planned community, hotel and mixed-use projects with expertise in all aspects of real estate asset management, development, and financing. Most recently he was the President and Chief Operating Officer of a company that developed 4 golf communities totalling over 6,300 acres and a 575-room JW Marriott Resort. Equity financing for these projects was provided through a major US university endowment fund. Previously, Mr. Sneyd developed the Four Seasons Resort Estates - Nevis and asset managed several hospitality projects. Mr. Sneyd started his development management career with the One Toronto Street office and condominium project.

Vadim Shub, CFO

Vadim ShubVadim oversees all the finance, public financial reporting, tax, accounting and the related compliance matters of the Skyline Group of companies and heads its Finance department. Prior to joining Skyline in 2007, Mr. Shub headed finance departments for a number of divisions of a well known Israeli publicly traded hi-tech company as a controller and finance manager, as well acting as a director for a number of its Israeli and foreign subsidiaries.

Kevin Toth, President and COO SHR

Kevin TothKevin is responsible for Skyline’s existing and future hotel and resort operations. Kevin brings to Skyline a wealth of industry experience from a career that spans more than 27 years, managing many of Canada’s leading luxury resorts and hotels. Kevin’s career includes experience in luxury resort and hotel operations with Fairmont Hotels & Resort, recreational real estate development, ski and golf operations and destination marketing. Prior to joining Skyline in 2009, Kevin was President and Managing Partner of Rockwater Properties, a resort and recreational property company with assets British Columbia that he launched in 2005.

David Goldman, General Counsel

Mark Goldberg

With 25 years of legal experience, David oversees all of Skyline’s legal affairs and transactional work and is Skyline’s Corporate Secretary. Prior to joining Skyline, David was In-house Counsel and Vice-President of a real estate development company and was a partner in several major law firms in Toronto where his legal practice covered most areas of real estate law. David was a member of the Real Property Section Executive of the Ontario Bar Association for 9 years where he held numerous positions including Vice-Chair and Chair, organized and chaired many real estate programs and was honoured by the Ontario Bar Association for his lengthy service. David has been actively involved in many charitable organizations and has received numerous awards for his leadership involvement.


Harley Nakelsky, Director of Sales and Marketing

Harley NakelskyOver 10 years in the Sales and Marketing of new home developments across North America. Former VP at The Kates Marketing Group managing marketing material and theme creation; setting-up marketing campaigns; managing data and data mining analysis; nurturing buyer leads; setting-up and managing sales offices, and hiring and training staff; scheduling opening and weekly events; sold out condominium projects and increased developer’s top line.


 

Michael Kaye, Design and Procurements Director

michael kayeMichael Kaye has been Director of Design and Procurements at Skyline International Development since 2009.  Michael has joined Skyline in 2005 with various positions that included Project Manager, and Director of Food and Beverage for the down town hotels
With a background in hospitality and a keen eye for aesthetic detail, he was instrumental in the design of Skyline’s hotel properties, which include The Pantages Hotel Toronto Centre, The Cosmopolitan Toronto Centre Hotel and Spa, Shizen Spa (three locations), Eight Wine Bar, and the Discovery Center at Port McNicoll, among other projects.

Christopher Ruhland, Controller

Christopher RuhlandChristopher works alongside the CFO in heading up the accounting department. As Corporate Controller, Christopher is responsible for executing all of the company’s internal and external financial reporting as well as leading his team in managing the daily accounting requirements. Prior to joining Skyline, Christopher worked for a mid size accounting firm in Toronto where he worked on various engagements in a variety of industries. While working there he obtained his Chartered Accounting designation after completing his bachelor of commerce at McMaster University.


Matthias Schlaepfer, Director of Developement

Matthias Schlaepfer has extensive professional experience in residential, commercial, and hospitality development projects. Most recently, he was Vice President, Planning and Development, of a company involved in the development of mixed-use projects, resorts, and large master-planned communities. Earlier in his career, he worked as an architect, urban designer, and planning consultant in Zurich, London, Paris, and Toronto. Mr. Schlaepfer holds a Master of Science in architecture from the ETH Zurich and is both a licensed architect and a registered professional planner in Ontario. He is also a member of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada, the Canadian Institute of Planners, and the Swiss Society of Engineers and Architects.

Adrian Sluga, Director of Project Management

Mark GoldbergAdrian Sluga is the Director of Project Management for Skyline Investments and is responsible for a team that prepares financial evaluations and oversees the execution of all major investment projects.  In addition to his engineering background, Adrian added an MBA with a specialty in Commercial & Retail Development to his resume.  Since then, he has combined his construction expertise, business acumen, and passion for sustainability and innovation in his role with Skyline.  Adrian is a member of NAIOP and is also LEED Accredited and a Project Management Professional.
